About me.
Motion is emotion. We are what we feel.
I grew up on a farm. Haying, picking stones, cleaning out stalls, feeding the animals, building things. After school. On weekends. During the summer. It was hard work.
My most valued reward for these efforts were Saturday nights when we would watch a movie on television. We sometimes even rented a VCR to watch the latest VHS releases at the village video store. This made it all worthwhile. I got to experience action, suspense, drama, comedy, sci-fi and romance through these stories. It transported me, if only for an evening. I was in awe and I loved it.
That's when I knew.
What I've done.
I have directed a feature film, currently in post. Working on my second one...
I have directed 78 episodes for a primetime television series, La Promesse. The show averaged a million viewers every week.
I have garnered 3 Gémeaux nominations for Best Directing - drama for television- for this series.
I recently directed La Brigadière, a web series, making the official selection at the HollyWeb Festival and the Vancouver WebFest.
I have directed over 65 broadcast news reports for CBC /Radio-Canada.
One of my short films was screened for competition in film festivals in Toronto, New York City, Los Angelos, Athens, Sidney, to name a few.
I filmed a documentary in Barcelona.

What I do.
I create stories. For film, television, web, ads. Fiction and non fiction.
The craft of storytelling is based on the way in which the story can be told and delivered in an engaging and memorable way. People ultimately need to relate. We watch and consume only if we feel captivated by the story. Otherwise we will just view it as an annoying interruption rather than valuable content. It needs to come from an authentic place and really add something.
As a director, this entails having a vision that will effectively convey the story through the many artistic and technical aspects involved, such as acting, camerawork, lighting, art direction, sound design and music.
